Front Brake Lever Assembly 1920-30
The front brake lever assembly was fairly standard across a wide range of Douglas machines in the late 20's and 30's.The engineer who made a new assembly for me has offered to make more units at a very reasonable price as he now has the jigs. You just specify the overall length of the rod part. Comes as per picture, purchaser to nickel plate.

1937 S6 Douglas Aero Twin
I have a small collection of motorcycles that I am now in the process of disposing. Amongst them, is a rare 1937 S6 Douglas Aero Twin.
I bought the bike in 1989 from Sotheby's. It was part of a disposal from The Gangbridge Collection. The bike has been completely and meticulously restored to original condition by Gangbridge.
I have never had the bike on the road, as my wife is not prepared to get on the pillion and our interests really are in classic cars. It comes with copious notes from Gangbridge and a road test report following restoration. Some minor adjustments noted were never completed.

EIC Magneto
I found it! I 'lost' my EIC Magneto twelve years ago and have found it again, but the project which it was intended for has long gone. The mag is in reasonable condition, as when I bought it, and complete, but the shaft is a little stiff. This will be OK with a clean. The brass base bears the legend "British Made" on one face and "TYPE A1 REF P 95 297" on the opposite.
I'll E mail photos if you are interested, and am open to offers.
My location is Fife in Scotland, but I'll post to you if you are unable to collect.
Yours, Jake Drummond, Fife, Scotland

Douglas B29 for sale
1929 350cc side valve model with automatic oiling and oil in sump. I purchased this bike about a year ago. It has been the subject of some restoration by its former owner who rebuilt the wheels, replaced the tyres and stove painted the frame and parts. The petrol tank has been professionally re-finished and looks the part.
Since I have owned the bike, I have re-bored the cylinders and fitted new original pistons. It has also been treated to a new Alpha crankshaft re-build (at vast expense!).
The bike is in running condition but would benefit from setting up properly. I think with very little effort, it would make a nice, Banbury eligible machine.
It carries its original number and is , I think worth in the region of £3200

Douglas Scooter Engine for sale ----SOLD
I've been delving into my collection of bits & pieces and an item you may be interested in is the Douglas engine illustrated in the attached pictures. It is 2-stroke, and was apparently made for some sort of scooter, with a capacity of about 100cc. There is a clutch (lever operated), and a three speed gearbox, directly driving a hub, with 5 inch drum brake and a wheel, rim diameter 9 inches, by 3 inches wide.
Ignition is by flywheel magneto, but the magnets have lost a lot of their strength, and I can't get a spark. The whole lot is built onto a swinging arm, scooter like. The casing is stamped with the serial number 1112882. There are no carb, cables, external electrics, exhaust, etc, and as I've not opened it up, I don't have any idea of its internal condition. I know that it has done nothing since about 1970, when I acquired it, but what it did before that is anybody's guess.
If you are interested in owning this engine, please send me an offer.
If you know anything about its history, I'd be glad to hear from you.
Anton Berg (UK)
